At least once every 3 months, walk around your property observing the building and grounds, looking at areas such as windows, doors, soffits, fascia, roof area and foundation sidewalls. Look closely for cracks in sealants that allow moisture to the frame. These cracks should be sealed to prevent moisture intrusion issues, or to minimize additional intrusion. Please call to discuss different sealant options to emulate existing finishes. Make notes on each issue as you walk your property. Weatherization can be done with assistance from government funded programs.

Indoor environment quality is very important as well. Air conditioning systems (HVAC) do have several items that can be looked at, for example, the filter for return air, condensate drain lines, etc.

Inside your home you can look for any stains on walls or ceilings that may indicate leaks from outside or within the walls. Doors that won’t close properly and locks that don’t latch with ease can be adjusted. Windows can be replaced for greater efficiency. Don’t “just deal with it”, improve and maintain it.
